When was this time... last I knew he ran 12.97 with livernois. He switched to unleashed but the time he posted was on e30 tune. I could be wrong. I musta missed it
I lined up next to BrandX51 back in April. I believe he had a drop in air filter, an exhaust, & an E85 (or E30) Unleashed Tune. he made a 12.552 pass to my distant 13.507 w/my LMS tune.
If he views this post, he can verify my stats on him.
Thanks for the feedback. I neglected to ask BrandX51 the difference between the e30 & 93 octane tunes. I guess I was kind of humiliated by how much faster his car was. I've since switched to the Unleashed Tune & (after a few setbacks) have a best pass of 13.166 to date. However, I just uploaded my 10th rev. & there seems to be a noticeable difference so I'm hoping to break into the 12s....
These ecoboost engines love the e30 tunes. If you have it available around your area you want to go,with this trust me. Almost all the fastest times have been with the unleashed e30 tune
Your fine until over 50% alcohol. After that the hpfp begins getting deposits. I run 35% daily and have on another car for 4 years with zero issues. Someone is working with torrie on a max alcohol tune. Think he was up close to 50 now. Posted a video of a c63 amg kill. He is tune only. Only thing is you need to check your e85. In the states it can be 51%-81%. Dont just assume its 85% cuz its not.
How do you check your e85 to see what percentage it is? I've been thinking about running the e30 tune but concerned about mixing, seems like it's a guesstimate of how much e85 to 93 octane gas. Would/does anyone run this tune as a daily driver? Or just for the track?
I would think it would be most difficult to determine if you keep running the mix, meaning you can't
totally drain the tank, then the mix would be higher that 30.
Guessing the only way to be safe is to run a tank of 93 between tanks of E30?
Yes it can. Your air fuel ratio is determined by the fuel mix. Get a cheap test kit and monitor where you get fuel. They stay pretty consistant but the e85 in the us can be 51-79% get a low amount of ethanol and it could be real bad. Too much can also cause issues.
the program i use on my phone has a fuel type pid.. but it always shows 1 so im not sure what its really reading. I did just notice it also has a alcohol fuel percentage pid but im not sure if that will be disabled after i connect it to my car
